Apprenticeship

Learners enrolled in a dual-track VET programme (also referred to as a combined school/work-based VET programme) undergo classroom instruction at a VET school as well as work-based training at a host company or within a host company network. Depending on the chosen VET programme, these apprenticeships last two, three or four years.

Learners enrolled in a school-based VET programme will undergo classroom instruction but will not do an apprenticeship at a host company. Instead, they will undergo practical training at the VET school and/or in the form of a traineeship at a host company.
