• Physical education

    Learners enrolled in VET programmes are required to attend physical education classes on a regular basis. VET schools ensure that at least one annual qualification is organised each year leading to issuance of a certificate.

    All learners must attend physical education.

    These include:

    1. Dual-track VET programme:
      at least 40 lessons if classroom instruction represents less than 520 annual lessons; 80 lessons if classroom instruction represents more than 520 annual lessons;
    2. School-based VET programme: at least 80 lessons per academic year.

    The general outline for the classroom instruction portion of a given VET programme indicates the distribution of lessons throughout the year (a maximum of four physical education lessons).
