  • Occupational diseases

    Occupational diseases are directly or mainly linked to professional work. They are related to the effects of various factors: noise, pollutants, vibration, inadequate lighting, poor posture, extreme temperatures, etc..

    The Employment Act (EmpA, SR 822.11) prohibits young workers and learners from carrying out dangerous work or work that presents risks of illness or intoxication. This provision also applies to young people on career guidance traineeships.
