The official Swiss portal for vocational education and training

The website vocationaleducation.ch was relaunched in June 2024. The domain names of the four national languages remained the same. The English-language site was given a new domain name, vocationaleducation.ch. With the relaunch, all previous subdomains were deleted and can no longer be used.

Short URLs have been set up for certain topics so that the links can be displayed in shorter form. We have created a ZIP file for the cantonal vocational training offices, professional organizations and other persons/organizations that refer to the pages of vocationaleducation.ch via links or QR codes. The folder contains a PDF with all available short URLs as well as QR codes to selected pages in all available languages. The ZIP file can be downloaded from the downloadcenter. 

The SDBB is pleased to announce the launch of our completely revamped vocationaleducation.ch website. It features a search function that lets you explore all content types and easily find related content on the same topic. Texts and graphics have been revised and expanded to include new forms of content. The responsive design is in a vibrant shade of blue based on the manual, the encyclopedia and the apprenticeship contract. The wordmark with the arrow refers to the campaign for vocational education and training in partnership with the Swiss Confederation.

• New domain for the English site (vocationaleducation.ch) 

In September 2023, the SBBK Executive Board decided to amend the apprenticeship contract every three years instead of annually as before. The next publication of the apprenticeship contract with amendments will take place in July 2026. Change requests that we will receive by the end of April 2025 will be taken into account. 

The same procedure and timeline apply to the internship contract. If a change is made to the apprenticeship contract, this will be incorporated into the internship contract as far as possible and reasonable, and vice versa. 

Changes to the law are excluded from this regulation and will be implemented immediately after they enter into force.
